5 April - At the Awards Gala at Rotunda 1, Kowloon Bay International Trade & Exhibition Centre (KITEC), fully supported by The Metroplex, the 38th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) revealed the winning films for five award categories, namely the Young Cinema Competition, the Documentary Competition, the Short Film Competition, the FIPRESCI Prize and the SIGNIS Award.
Black Rainstorm Warning Signal has been issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 8:40 p.m., 30th Mar 2014. Refunds will be made to ticket holders who cannot attend the screening due to the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal. Application forms for refund can be downloaded here.
The actual duration of Devils on the Doorstep is confirmed to be 161 minutes. Its screening on 29 March at the HK Cultural Centre will end at around 5:55pm.

The Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) Society announced that “That Demon Within”, will close the 38th HKIFF. Directed by Dante LAM, and starring Daniel WU, Nick CHEUNG, Andy ON and LIU Kai-chi, the film will have its Asian Premiere on 7 April at Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

The 38th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF), will continue its popular programme of screening immaculate digital restorations of classic films. This year’s festival programme includes Alfred HITCHCOCK’s Dial M for Murder (3-D), and four classic works by Japan’s great master OZU Yasujiro, Equinox Flower (Higanbana), Good Morning (Ohayo), Late Autumn (Akibiyori) and An Autumn Afternoon (Sanma no Aji). These classics will be screened during the festival from 24 March to 7 April.
